Passover Campaign

Can you help us to help others? We begin the Passover seder with the Hagaddah’s words, "All who are hungry come and eat; all in need come and join the Passover ritual." This attitude sets the tone for the seder, for Passover and for the entire year. We as a community are responsible for one another.

Your generous donations are helping to enrich people’s seders: Passover guides to 2,000 Jewish families on the Shoreline. Shmurah matzah to 250 families. Thank you to our partners in this project, Edward/Linda Pinn and Michael/Jo-Ann Price.

Your gifts allow an immediate response to the spiritual and material needs of the Jewish community on the Shoreline in good times and times of crisis. Together with you, we can help.

Even though you cannot host seder guests this year, you  host them virtually by helping to sponsor their individual seders. With your help we have sponsored 40 seders in greater New Haven. This includes a  complete two-seder package, including the budget dinner package from Abels Catering, two nights of seder plate items, and we added haggadahs, wine and shmurah matzah as needed.

We have opened the virtual doors of  Chabad of the Shoreline to everyone. With nightly classes on www.jewishoreline.org/zoom and upcoming virtual events,  we are committed to reaching out and helping all Jews on the Shoreline in every possible way with your help.
